Where?/When?: , Thursday to Saturday
Why Go?: Oakmont Skin Care & Electrolysis is offering Halloween specials now until Oct. 29. The specials are include mini makeovers, nail decal, hair bling and more!

2.
Where?/When?: , 10 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Calling all witches and ghouls! The annual Oakmont Halloween Parade, sponsored by the Riverside Women's Association, is back! All princesses, superheros and goblins are invited to march down the Allegheny River Blvd. at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. Line up on Isabella St. behind the Kwik Fill station at the corner of Washington Ave. and ARB. Treats for the kids following the parade.

Where?/When?: , 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday
Why go?: Dr. Frank Cicirello of Health Horizons will present the "Mind and Body Connection" at the library. Learn how your mind can play a role in positively or negatively influencing your body and health. Experience through several mind-body exercises how your thoughts and emotions can bring about physical manifestations. The presentation will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m.  Arrive early to partake in light refreshments and mingle with the speaker and audience members. Call 412-720-8709 to register.

Where?/When?: , 11 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The Mystery Lovers Bookshop welcomes author Dennis Palumbo  for a Talk and Signing. He'll be here with his newest novel, the second in a series set in Pittsburgh, Fever Dream. Dennis's new book continues the adventures of Dr. Daniel Rinaldi, a psychologist who consults with the Pittsburgh police and provides therapy to victims of violent crimes.

Where?/When?: Boyce Park and Ski Lodge,  noon on Saturday
Why go?: The Festival in the Park proceeds will benefit the Griffith Family Memorial Fund. The Fall Festival Costume Parade registration will begin at noon. The parade begins at 1 p.m. Admission cost includes a drink, chips and hot dog for the first 500 people. There will be trick-or-treating along the parade route and prizes for the best costume. There will also be Children's Chinese Auction, crafts, games, balloon art, food and drinks available for an additional donation. Read more about this event, .

Where?/When?: , 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Fall Festival will be a time of fun for all ages! Beginning at 4 p.m., there will be a variety of activities for children, youth and adults. There will be pony rides, games, crafts, face-painting, a hayride, bingo and even a performance by the Joyful Twirlers Baton Twirling Troupe. There will be a Turkey Dinner with all the fixings served from 4:45 to 6 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., children/youth are invited to take part in "Trunk or Treating" in the parking lot. No costume is necessary, but any costume should be family friendly. There will also be a bonfire to keep warm and food to enjoy!

Where?/When?: Penn Hills Point Breeze VFD Station 224, 1002 Center Ave., 7 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Ages 18 and over are invited to a Halloween party and costume contest. There will be a cash bar, music, food and refreshments. Costumes are optional.

Where?/When?:Boyce Park and Ski Lodge, 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: "Boo"sino Monte Carlo Night is part of Festival in the Park. The doors open at 6 p.m. Cost includes beer, soda, food and $20 worth of casino chips. This event is BYOB. All chips will be redeemed for Chinese Auction tickets. The guest MC is WTAE's Mike Clark. Proceeds will benefit the Griffith Family Memorial Fund. Read more about this event, .

Where?/When?:, 1:30 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: Join counselor Eileen Colianni for this talk which will increase your awareness of the power of emotions, as well as provide strategies for channeling emotional energy.

Where?/When?: Calvary Episcopal Church, 4 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: The Organ Artists Series (OAS) of Pittsburgh is pleased to present organist Jeremy Filsell in concert at Calvary Episcopal Church. The event kicks off the 33rd season of the series. Filsell, one of only a few virtuoso performers on both piano and organ, is artist-in-residence at Washington National Cathedral. A reception with light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres follows the concert. Parking is available adjacent to the venue. Tickets, available at the door or in advance.
