Today, Feb. 12, is Mardi Gras!
Mardi gras is French for Fat Tuesday, the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the Lenten season fasting begins on Ash Wednesday.
The Plum Senior Center is celebrating with a pancake dinner from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Call 412-795-2339 for details.
The day sometimes is referred to as Shrove Tuesday—shrive means "confess."
