Library Program for Children with Special Needs Moves to Saturdays

Oakmont Carnegie Library's Inclusive Story Time for Special Needs Kids program is moving from Thursday evenings to Saturday mornings.

The next session of 's program will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 10:30 a.m.

This program is free to the public, and is designed for children ages 18 and younger who have special needs. Siblings also are invited. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Children can enjoy snacks, a themed story time, a craft, and toys. Hand-fidgets are available for those who want or need them. Tactile, auditory, and visual learning opportunities are offered, as well as resources for parents seeking more information about their children’s diagnosis.

The program used to be held on Thursdays, but this year, it will be held the fourth Saturday of each month at 10:30 a.m.
