New Book Tells the Story of Oakmont

The Oakmont Historical Society has completed a new book containing oral histories of Oakmont as told by longtime borough residents.

The book titled “Let Me Tell You a Story, An Oral History of Oakmont” is the story of Oakmont told by those who lived it.

The people in the book share a portrait of Oakmont from a much simpler time, yet one filled with challenges and human emotion, both good times and bad.

The book costs $12 and can be purchased at the Oakmont Deli or the Oakmont Chamber of Commerce office. E-mail Oakmonthistory@gmail.com for more information.
