News From the Plum Senior Center

Here are some news items and upcoming events from the senior center, 499 Center New Texas Road in Plum.

OPT Riders – Notice of Fare Adjustment

Those who use Older Persons Transportation (OPT) will notice a fare increase beginning July 1. OPT is transportation sponsored by the Allegheny County Department of Aging for those who are age 60 and older.

Because of cost increases, the OPT trip will increase by one ticket—25 cents—each way.  The adjustment will allow the OPT program to continue providing the least expensive shared-ride service for the senior community.  For more information, call 412-350-5460 or visit the Area Agency on Aging website.  Fliers and additional information also is available at the Plum Community Senior Center.
