Oakmont/Verona Kennywood Picnic is Wednesday

The 99th Annual Oakmont/ Verona Kennywood Day is Wednesday.

The cost of each ticket is $24, and tickets will be on sale at the Oakmont Chamber of Commerce office, , and the in Oakmont. The Oakmont and Verona chambers of commerce are sponsoring the event.

Bus transportation is free and will be provided with the purchase of a Verona and Oakmont Community Day Picnic ticket. Anyone purchasing tickets from another source will be charged $3 for transportation. Ticket must be shown when boarding the bus.

Buses will leave Verona at 10:15 a.m. from the 700 block of East Railroad Ave. It will take a group to the park and then return at 11:30 a.m. to the Riverview High School parking lot. The bus will leave Kennywood Park at 9 p.m. for the return trip home.

Tickets can be used any weekday at no extra charge and any weekend date with a $10 surcharge. Senior citizens 55 years of age or older can buy a senior fun day pass ticket from the chamber for $14. If they are used on any other date, there will be a $5 surcharge.
