PHOTOS: People Visit Riverside Park Over the Weekend

Though some portions of Riverside Park are still very much under construction, people still went there to enjoy the warm weather this weekend.

Several people gathered at in Oakmont on Saturday and Sunday to enjoy the warm weather.

The park—undergoing —still isn't completely finished, but the tennis courts and walking trail have been paved. A synthetic surface will be installed later this spring. Until then, people still can play tennis, run and draw images on the asphalt with sidewalk chalk.

Two new pavillions overlooking the Allegheny River and the Hulton Bridge have been erected.

A group of hockey players also utilized the unfinished basketball courts to get a game going.

The playground still is closed, but there are plans to repaint the existing structures. Manager Bruce Jamison said it should open in about a month or so.
