Plum Resident Attends NCAA Symposium

Basketball player Brandy Nickoloff attended the symposium this weekend.

Plum Borough resident Brandy Nickoloff has spent the weekend attending the NCAA Student-Athlete Affairs Regional Symposium.

The event started on Friday and concludes today, Oct. 9. It was held at the University of Pittsburgh. The symposium was for athletics professionals who support the development of student-athletes as staff members at NCAA member institutions or conference offices.

A graduate of St. Joseph High School in Natrona Heights, Nickoloff currently is a freshman and basketball player at Grove City College. She also is a coach for the Pittsburgh Huskies girls AAU basketball program.

Grove City College Women’s Basketball Head Coach, Michelle Bruns gave her players the opportunity to submit applications for the conference last month. Wolverine players Nickoloff and sophomore Hannah Coneby were two of only 60 athletes that were chosen to attend this NCAA symposium.
