Riverside Community Church Collects Food for Local Pantries on Sunday

The church will be collecting items at the Oakmont and Pittsburgh Mills locations on Sunday.

Parishioners at can donate nonperishable food and grocery items to help stock local food banks and food pantries today, Sunday.

There will be collection boxes at the Oakmont location and at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall location.

Items needed include:

  • Drinks—boxed tea, fruit juice, coffee, hot chocolate packs and fruit juice packs
  • Protein—tuna, peanut butter and canned meats
  • Canned vegetables—corn, green beans, peas, carrots and beans
  • Condiments—ketchup, mustard, salad dressings, oil and sugar
  • Box meals—boxed potatoes, pasta meals, rice and noodles
  • Soups—chicken noodle, tomato and beef vegetable
  • Sauces—pasta sauce and other tomato products
  • Paper products—toilet paper, tissues and paper towels
  • Soap—hand soap, dish soap, body soap, shampoo and other hygeine articles
