Steel City Rowing Offers Classes, Events for the Remainder of January

Steel City Rowing Club in Verona is holsing several classes and events through the end of January. The club is located at 101 Arch St.

Here's a list of adult classes:

The cost is $6 for walk-ins and $3 for Verona residents. Classes are canceled on Saturday, Jan. 28.

Thursday, Jan. 26—Indoor Rowing Class at 9 a.m.; Intro to Yoga at 5 p.m.; and Zumba at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 29—Zumba at 8 a.m.
Monday, Jan. 30—Indoor Rowing Class at 6:15 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 31 - Indoor Rowing Class at 9 a.m.; Intro to Yoga at 7:45 p.m.

Indoor rowing classes for high school students are offered Monday through Thursday at 4 p.m. Students ages 13 and older also can participate in adult Zumba and Yoga classes with a parent signature.

Calendar Party/Fashion Show

On Sunday, Jan. 29, the rowing club will hold a lunch and fashion show fundraiser at the , 12 Washington Ave. in Oakmont, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The cost is $20 per person. There will be a lunch, fashion show and raffle items to benefit youth rowing at Steel City Rowing Club. Raffles include sporting clays shoot and lunch with former Steeler Randy Grossman, opera tickets, movie tickets, dinner opportunities and more. High school students will model current prom fashions and tables are decorated in a calendar theme.
