Swimming Lessons, Movie Event and Tours Offered at Boyce Park

A roundup of some upcoming events.

Here is a list of some Allegheny County Parks Department concerts and events. All events are free unless otherwise noted. All concert acts and times are subject to change. For more information, call 412-350-2478 or visit www.alleghenycounty.us/parks.

Here are the events at Boyce Park in Plum:
   
Classic Cinema under the Stars: “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”—The movie will play at the Boyce Park Four Seasons Lodge at sunset on Thursday, July 14.

Free Swimming Lessons in July—The Boyce Park Wave Pool is offering free swimming lessons once a week for participants who are 5 or older. Classes are held on Tuesdays for individuals with last names beginning with "A" through "K" and Thursdays for individuals with last names beginning with "L" through "Z." Lessons are at 10 to 10:45 a.m. No preregistration is required.

Small & Mighty— This program is for observing seasonal insects with hand lenses. One-hour sessions for 12 people or more are offered Tuesdays through Saturdays.
   
Signing & Stories—this program offers stories about the environment, read and shared with sign language. One-hour sessions for 12 people or more are offered Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Summer Natural History Tours/Walks— These are guided tours of the natural history museums and interpretive walks on the nature and hiking trails. One-hour sessions for 12 people or more are offered Tuesdays through Saturdays.
