With just a few basic steps you and your family can create this easy Easter decoration for your home.

Easter decorating is synonymous with bunnies and eggs, so why not use an egg to make a bunny? This easy-to-make craft can be made in under an hour, and can either serve as a great decoration for your home or as a great Easter gift idea for a friend or family member.

Ribbon (of your choosing)

Black and pink permanent markers

White acrylic paint

Paint brush

Glue and glue sticks

Scissors

Steps:

  1. Paint both the egg and the pot with the white paint. One or two coats should cover both completely.
  2. While the egg and pot are drying, cut two bunny ears out of the white craft foam and two smaller inner ear sections out of the pink craft foam. Using a small dab of hot glue, glue the pink foam to the center of the white foam to create the bunny ears. Glue the ears to the top of the egg.
  3. Using the pink and black permanent markers, create the bunny’s eyes, nose, mouth, teeth and cheeks.
  4. Glue the egg to the bottom of the pot (the opening of the pot should be down).
  5. Cut your ribbon a few inches long and tie a ribbon around the neck of the bunny.

Variations:  Use different size eggs and pots (as long as they are proportionate to one another) and/or use a variety of different ribbons to create more than one decoration.
