NEARBY: Upper St. Clair Native Appears on Comedy Central

A one-hour stand-up special aired Sunday night and a new weekly series begins next month.

Comedy Central aired an original one-hour stand-up special, Anthony Jeselnik: Caligula, Sunday night.

Jeselnik graduated from Upper St. Clair High School in 1997. After attending Tulane University, he moved to Los Angeles and broke into TV as an accounting clerk.

Jeselnik is most famous for the Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump and the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen. He has appeared on Conan and Jimmy Kimmel Live! and was the first stand-up comic to appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Jeselnik also has written for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and received an Emmy nomination for his work on Comedy Central's Night of Too Many Stars.

Jeselnik opened his new Comedy Central special Sunday night with a rape joke—and it got more offensive from there. He defended his comedy style in this interview with thewrap.com.

Comedy Central will release the Anthony Jeselnik: Caligula extended and uncensored DVD on Jan. 15.

Jeselnik will also "bring his signature dark and twisted point-of-view" to Comedy Central in his new, weekly topical series, The Jeselnik Offensive, premiering on Feb. 19. In the series, airing Tuesday at 10:30 p.m., Jeselnik and guest panelists will "gleefully bash pop culture."
