Annual Celebrate Oakmont Event to be Held Next Week

Local residents can enjoy what community businesses have to offer during the Oakmont Chamber of Commerce's Celebrate Oakmont event.

The chamber expo will be held on from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the Greek Orthodox social hall and Riverside Landing on Washington Avenue.

There will be door prizes, food, entertainment, more than 60 vendors and other festivities. The cost is $10 per ticket purchased in advance.

Here's what attendees can look forward to:

• Meeting other business members and members of the community.
• Tasting samples of signature dishes from all of your favorite area restaurants and bakeries.
• Musical performances featuring the Barbershop Quartet.
• Local author Lillie Leonardi will be signing her new book.
• Dana Brown, Executive Director for the Pennsylvania Center for Women and Politics, will be on hand.
• Raffle winners will be announced at 8 p.m. and door prizes will be raffled every 15 minutes.
