Mystery Lovers Bookshop Turns 21 on Halloween

The Oakmont bookshop will hold a celebration and offer specials in honor of its anniversary.

Celebrate 21 years at on Halloween from 6 to 9 p.m.

The fun will begin with a free cappuccino, starting at 6 p.m.

At 7 p.m., Cleveland author Les Roberts will join everyone in a talk and signing of The Strange Death of Father Candy. Les' new standalone novel is set in Youngstown in 1985 where a popular priest, the Father Candy of the title, has been killed. His brother, Dominick, long-estranged from the family, returns home for the funeral and to find out what really happened to his brother.

The 10-cent book sale, benefitting the , begins at 8 p.m. All the advanced reading copies accumulated by the store over the past year will be sold with all proceeds going to the library.

As a special treat, all customers can take 21 percent off any one hardcover book purchased any time during the day.
