Jeanne Cherry of Plum Borough and many other local artists will be participating in the sixth-annual I Made It! for the Holidays market this weekend.
The marketplace will be held Friday, Nov. 30, from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 1, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bakery Square, 6425 Penn Ave. in Pittsburgh.
More than 90 Pittsburgh-regional artisans will offer handmade goods including children’s items, house wares, clothing, jewelry, plush, ceramics, sweets, photography, toys, bath & body products and much more. Saturday brings TAPPED Pop Up Beer Garden from noon to 5 and Santa from noon to 3.
Cherry, who created juNxtaposition in 2005, said it's a great event for people to buy handmade, local items for the holidays.
Cherry's typewriter key jewelry was picked as a Top 10 item in Entrepreneur Magazine's Indie Merchant Holiday Gift Guide.
The Plum artist creates functional art from yesterday’s leftovers, creating many one-of-a-kind items with a unique "juxtaposition" of the old and the new. To check out her work, visit www.juNxtaposition.com.
