This week’s restaurant spotlight is on the Freedom Square Diner, located at 148 Allegheny River Boulevard, Verona.
The restaurant, which also has a location in Cranberry, opened in September at the former Cafe Naples and Johnny G's space in near Giant Eagle the shopping plaza.
Chris Kinzler and father-and-son team Tom and Shawn Cross own the restaurant. The diner serves classic American food, including a variety of breakfast options.
Some of the fall specialties include pumpkin pancakes and waffles. There also are steak omelets, crab benedict, burger, hoagies, wings and more.
Freedom Square Diner is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
