Second Annual Verona Street Festival to be Held Saturday

The festival will be on Allegheny River Boulevard between South and Center avenues. It starts immediately after the 5 p.m. Christmas parade on Saturday, Nov. 19.

Excitement will be all over the main street in Verona on Saturday.

Following the there will be the Second Annual Verona Street Festival. 

Frosty the Snowman and the Grinch will be visiting Verona and all of the street festival patrons.

Thanks to the support of the Verona Chamber of Commerce and additional donations from Xycom Technology, Stockman Landscape, Events by Sherri, the Boulevard Gallery and resident Denise Gemellas, this year has more to offer the community.   

The chamber will be selling the soon-to-be famous "Conte’s Cakes" made by borough Councilman Dom Conte to raise money for next year's street festival.

Allegheny River Boulevard will be closed between Center and South avenues after the parade goes through town. Many businesses will be open and there will be numerous vendors.

Live performance schedule:

  • 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.—Climbing wall
  • 6 to 9 p.m.—Shriner's car demonstration 
  • 6 p.m.—The Amish Monkeys are an improv group that perform at the Gemini Theatre and at Pittsburgh’s First Night.
  • 6:20 p.m.—Ava Bosco, the daughter of a local business owner Donna Bosco of Bosco’s Hair Design, will be playing the guitar and singing.
  • 7 p.m.—New Olde Bank Theratre will be performing a scene from their annual production of "A Christmas Carol."
  • 7:20 p.m. Alissa Isaac will be performing a Zumba demonstration followed by two trial classes at No Limits Sports Performance.
  • 7:35 p.m.  A woodwind quartet will be performing from the Pittsburgh Symphony Intern Program.
  • 7:35 to 8:05 p.m.—Zumba class at No Limits Sports Performance
  • 8:10 to 8:30 p.m. Pictures with Frosty and The Grinch.
  • 8:10 to 8:50 p.m. Zumba class at No Limits Sports Performance
  • 8:30 to 9:00 Pictures with Santa.

All events will be on a stage placed in the center of Allegheny River Boulevard for all to enjoy. 

After the parade, Oakmont also will be hosting event.
