Back to Below-Freezing Temps, Snow in Plum-Oakmont

After a few days in the 60s, it's feeling like winter again.

Residents of the Plum-Oakmont area received a short-lived break from the winter weather this week.

After a few days of spring-like weather, temps are rebounding back to below freezing. The area also is expecting some snow showers. Here's a look at the Thursday and Friday forecasts from the National Weather Service:

  • Thursday—A chance of snow showers before 10 a.m., then a slight chance of snow showers after 5 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 31. Breezy, with a west wind 21 to 23 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 33 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Snow accumulation of less than a half inch expected.
  • Thursday Night—A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 15. West wind 8 to 13 miles per hour becoming light. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Snow accumulation of less than a half inch expected.
  • Friday—A chance of snow showers, mainly before 1 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 20. Wind chill values as low as -3. West wind around 18 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 28 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
  • Friday Night—Mostly cloudy, with a low around 11. Wind chill values as low as -2.
