Congressman Jason Altmire Honors Fallen Lower Burrell Police Officer Derek Kotecki on House Floor

On Friday morning, U.S. Congressman Jason Altmire (PA-4), a native of Lower Burrell and 1986 graduate of Burrell High School, paid tribute to fallen Lower Burrell Officer Derek Kotecki in a speech to the U.S. House of Representatives. Altmire's congressional district includes Plum.
Kotecki, 40, was shot and killed Wednesday night after an incident at a Dairy Queen on Greensburg Road, near the Plum/New Kensington border. Charles Post, 33, of Lower Burrell, shot Kotecki and then was killed himself.
