Department of Human Services to Celebrate Keeping Families Together

Families United Celebration to be held at Schenley Park Ice Skating Rink.

The Families United Celebration sponsored by the Allegheny County Department of Human Services Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF) will be held Friday, Aug. 19.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Schenley Park Ice Skating Rink in Oakland.

Allegheny County families are invited to gather for a day of events, music and fun to celebrate and recognize that families are the foundation of our community and the stronghold that protects and nurtures our children.

The event is free and open to the public. There will be live music and other entertainment, including obstacle courses, pony rides and children’s crafts. This event is expected to draw 2,000 participants and 150 volunteers.
