Hulton Bridge Delays for Commuters Until Mid-June

Intermittent testing work for a future Hulton Bridge replacement project will cause restrictions for the next few months.

Commuters can expect delays on and around the Hulton Bridge area starting next week.

Crews will work between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Monday, March 28 through mid-June, PennDOT officials said.

Roads will have restrictions on Freeport Road at the intersection with Hulton Road, Hulton from Freeport to Third and Second Street Extension at Hulton.

"These will be on and off with minimal impacts," PennDOT press officer James Struzzi said.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will use the time to conduct test borings in various locations in anticipation of a future Hulton Bridge replacement project, officials said.

Workers will clear the road if traffic becomes too heavy, Struzzi said.
