Hulton Bridge Inspection Begins Wednesday

Single-lane restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays through Oct. 14.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing inspection on the Hulton Bridge, which carries Hulton Road over the Allegheny River in Harmar Township and the Borough of Oakmont, will begin Wednesday, Sept. 28.   

Crews from SAI Consulting Engineers will be inspecting the bridge. Single-lane, alternating use restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. as needed through Oct. 14. No weekend work will occur. Local police officers will assist with traffic control, and restrictions will be lifted in the event of excessive delays.   

PennDOT advises motorists to use caution, slow down and expect changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area. Log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major roadways before traveling.
