Longwood at Oakmont Residents 'Plug In' to Today's Technology

TechRALLY for seniors workshop on Friday, Nov. 18, will introduce tablets, texting and more.

“Staying Connected to the Ones You Love” will be the theme when Longwood at Oakmont residential retirement community hosts TechRALLY for seniors on Friday, Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The free, hands-on educational workshop’s mission is to increase the quality of life for older adults by empowering them with simple technology education and helping them to discover modern devices like Smartphones, iPads, iPhones and more.

In a fun, social and interactive program Longwood’s residents will have a chance to learn how to stay connected to friends and loved ones through photo sharing, text messaging, video calling and other apps.

TechRALLY for seniors is sponsored by AT&T and will be divided into hands-on group sessions and open sessions where Longwood’s residents and their guests will learn about their particular personal areas of interest.
