Memorial Day Closures

Anyone who needs to run to their local borough building or post office should do so before Monday.

The Plum, Oakmont and Verona borough offices will be closed on Monday for the Memorial Day holiday. Also closed are the local post offices; district magistrate offices; the Plum Senior Center; and the Oakmont and Plum Borough Community libraries.

All will resume normal business hours on Tuesday.

The Port Authority of Allegheny County's bus, T and incline service will operate on holiday schedules on Monday.

Port Authority's customer service phone line will operate on holiday hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the downtown service center will be closed.

Some bus routes will be detoured over the holiday weekend due to parades and other community events. Riders should check with customer service or Port Authority’s website for detours on their route.

The Port Authority system will pause for one minute at noon Monday in remembrance of military veterans and in honor of those currently serving.

Vehicles will pull off to a safe location to observe this moment of reflection.
