Mild Temps, Showers Expected Early This Week

With these temperatures, it's hard to believe we're in December.

Is it really December?

Plum, Oakmont and Verona residents can expect some very mild temperatures on Monday and Tuesday. You won't have to bundle up for a few days, but have an umbrella handy.

Here's a look at the National Weather Service's forecast for our area.

  • Monday—Patchy fog before 9a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. South wind 5 to 9 miles per hour.
  • Monday Night—Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. South wind around 8 mph, with gusts as high as 22 miles per hour.
  • Tuesday—Showers likely, mainly after 5 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 64. South wind 8 to 13 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 24 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Tuesday Night—Showers likely, mainly before 9 p.m. Cloudy, with a low around 37. Southwest wind 6 to 9 miles per hour becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
