Northbound Route 28 Paving Begins Thursday Night in Millvale

This weekend is going to be filled with road construction.

Work to resurface northbound Route 28 through the Millvale Interchange in Millvale will begin on tonight weather permitting.

Work will occur from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday through Saturday nights, Oct. 11-13.   

Motorists are advised to expect significant delays and possible stop conditions. Alternate routes should be considered.

In addition, the ramp from Millvale to northbound Route 28 will be closed during the same timeframe Thursday night. The closure will continue through 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Traffic will be detoured using the 40th Street Bridge to Butler Street to the Highland Park Bridge to northbound Route 28.

The westbound Squirrel Hill Tunnel on the Parkway East also will be closed this weekend. For a detailed look at that closure, click here.
