Oakmont Library to Hold Big Book Sale on Saturday

Looking for a book to read? You can buy several used ones at the Squirrels Nest next weekend.

Oakmont Carnegie Library is hosting its semi-annual big book sale on Saturday.

The sale will be held at the Squirrel's Nest bookstore inside the library on Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In previous sales, books were sold for $5 a bag. However, this year's cost is 50-cents per pound.

According to the library's website, there will be 6,000 to 7,000 items to choose from.

There also will be a separate antique and collectible book sale for anyone looking to buy first-editions and signed copies.

For more information, call 412-828-9532 or visit www.oakmontlibrary.org.
