Oakmont Library to Host Memory Workshop

The event will be on Aug. 30 at 6 p.m.

A "Memory Maintenance for All Ages" program will be held at the on Aug. 30 at 6 p.m.

Kevin Kramer, an instructor for Silver Scholars computer classes, will make a presentation to those who attend.

Participants will learn how to delay the effects of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease by building a “cognitive reserve” at any age. By understanding how the brain builds memory connections, following brain healthy nutrition, doing daily brain exercises and making simple lifestyle changes, participants will learn how to build that reserve.

The two-hour interactive adventure into adult learning and memory maintenance costs a donation of $5 per attendee includes a copy of Kramer's booklet "Memory Maintenance for All Ages," a study of adult learning and memory.
