Outbound I-376 Parkway East Pavement Improvements Continue Saturday

Traffic update for the weekend.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing work to improve bridge transitions on the eastbound (outbound) Parkway East (I-376) in Allegheny County will continue weather permitting on Saturday, July 9. 

Crews will be performing work and repairs in various locations between the Grant/Stanwix Street and Wilkinsburg/Forest Hills interchanges necessary to complete the pavement transition replacement project.

Intermittent lane closures and single lane traffic will occur as needed from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Inbound (westbound) traffic will not be affected.

The $3.2 million project includes repairing, rehabilitating and overlaying pavement transitions at various bridge locations within the project area. The prime contractor is the Golden Triangle Construction Company, Inc. of Imperial, Pa. Overall work will be completed in early summer 2011.

PennDOT advises motorists to slow down, allow extra time, and use caution when traveling through the area. Log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions and cameras on major roadways before traveling.
