Parkway Bridge Inspection, Squirrel Hill Tunnel Restrictions Set
See when you could expect some road restrictions and closures this week.
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation road crews will be working on the Parkway East near Plum and on the Squirrel Hill Tunnel this week.
Bridge inspection activities on the Parkway East between the Penn Hills (Exit 81) and Monroeville/Plum (Exit 84) interchanges will occur on Thursday, Oct. 11, weather permitting.
Lane closures will occur from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as needed in each direction. Both directions will not be restricted simultaneously. PennDOT bridge inspection crews will conduct the work.

Cleaning and maintenance activities in the outbound (eastbound) Squirrel Hill Tunnel will occur Tuesday through Thursday nights, Oct. 9 to 11. Outbound single lane traffic will occur from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night.
Motorists are advised to use caution and allow extra time when traveling through the areas.
