Patch Pets: Can You Help Brownie?

This week, we have a new pet who is looking for a new home.

Brownie is a three-year-old female Shepherd mix. She was surrendered because her owners did not have time to take care of a dog.

Brownie lived with kids in her last home and was great around them. She also lived harmoniously with a cat. She walks well on leash and knows the "sit" command. Her former owners did not consider Brownie to be house-trained, although it was also indicated that they never really tried to do so. Our adoptions staff can provide information and guidance on ways to house-train adult dogs.

Brownie is a very sweet dog and her former owners mentioned how friendly and calm she is. She would probably do well in a family setting. And if you are looking to add a dog into a feline household, Brownie might be a perfect fit.
