Patch Pets: Ellie Needs a Home!

This week, we have another adorable dog looking for a new home.

Ellie is a nearly 4 year old Australian Cattle dog who was surrendered to us because her family felt that Ellie was too much responsibility.

According to her previous owners, Ellie is deaf but knows some sign language commands. Her family also told us that Ellie lived with other dogs and is fine with cats.

Ellie likes to play fetch and we noticed that Ellie walks pretty well on the leash. Ellie is a little stressed at the shelter right now and we are hoping that someone will come and meet her and like her and take her home soon. Ellie deserves another chance at a good home!

If you'd like to inquire about Ellie, please email adoptions@animalrescue.org or come to the Animal Rescue League at 6620 Hamilton Ave., in East Liberty, 412-661-6452.  The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday through Monday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
