PennDOT Crews to Work in Plum-Oakmont This Week

Here's a roundup of roadwork occurring in the area.

There's going to be several roadwork projects going on in the Plum-Oakmont and surrounding areas this week.

Here's a look at some of the work occuring Monday, June 18, to Friday, June 22:

Seal Coat Maintenance—Crews will be sealing ("tar and chips") local roads next week. Those roads include Milltown-Unity Road in Plum/Penn Hills from Hulton Road to Coxcomb Hill Road; Coxcomb Hill Road in Plum from Hulton Road to the Westmoreland County line; New Texas Road in Plum from Logans Ferry Road to Old Frankstown Road.

Inlet Repairs—Work is scheduled to occur on Saltsburg Road in Plum from Center-New Texas Road to the Westmoreland County line; and Poketa Road in Penn Hills (near the Verona border) from Verona Road to Milltown Road.

All activities are weather permitting. Lane closures and restrictions should be expected in work areas. Motorists are urged to call 1-800 FIX ROAD to report roadway concerns on state routes and interstates. Litter and debris removal and pothole patching will occur in various areas as needed.
