Plum Library Hosts Contest for Tickets to See Author Rick Riordan

Anyone who checks out a book by Riordan through Sept. 23 will have a chance to win tickets.

Rick Riordan, author of the popular young adult series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Kane Chronicles, and The Heroes of Olympus, will be making an appearance in Pittsburgh—and Plum Community Library patrons could have a chance to see him.

Riordan will be coming to Carnegie Library's Lecture Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. as part of his Olympian Week Tour to promote his new Heroes of Olympus novel, The Son of Neptune.

To celebrate, is giving away two free passes to the event.

Simply check out one of Riordan's books from now until Sept. 23. Those who find the Olympic Ticket hidden in their book as they read will be named a winner. Follow the instructions on the ticket to redeem the passes.

Tickets also are one sale now. Call 412-622-8866 or go to pittsburghlectures.org to purchase. Tickets are $20 each.
