Plum-Oakmont Closings, Delays Due to Winter Storm

The overnight snow has caused come cancellations and delays.

 

Several inches of snow have fallen in the Plum-Oakmont area overnight, and it has caused some cancellations and delays Wednesday.

The area remains under a winter storm warning through 5 p.m. Total snow accumulations could reach 5 to 8 inches.

  • Plum School District has CLOSED Wednesday.
  • Riverview School District is operating on a two-hour delay.
  • The area's private schools—St. John the Baptist Catholic in Plum, St. Irenaeus Catholic in Oakmont and St. Joseph Catholic in Verona—are closed.
  • Community College of Allegheny County will have a 10 a.m. start. Classes before then have been canceled.
  • The Plum Senior Community Center also will be closed through Wednesday.
  • There are no morning group exercise classes at the East Suburban YMCA in Plum, and Childwatch will run from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
  • Oakmont Carnegie Library has cancelled its Book Buddies program for Wednesday.
