Project Plans for the Replacement of Hulton Road Bridge Over Plum Creek to be on Display Beginning Monday

Plans to be on display at the Plum Borough Building and Penn Hills Municipal Building.

PennDOT District 11 is advising interested parties that proposed plans to replace the bridge that carries Hulton Road over Plum Creek in Plum Borough and Penn Hills will be on display for public viewing July 25 to Aug. 8.

The plans can be viewed at the following locations:

  • Plum Borough Building, 4575 New Texas Road in Plum, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays.
  • Penn Hills Municipal Building, 12245 Frankstown Road in Penn Hills, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The proposed project includes replacing the bridge, which will require a detour, and removing the existing sidewalk in lieu of a wide shoulder area for improved pedestrian and bike access. The proposed plans, traffic impacts and other details will be available at the display location. The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2012.

Residents and property owners seeking additional information can contact project manager Jason Cook at 412-429-4901 or jascook@state.pa.us.
