Restrictions on Route 28 Begin Monday

Here's a traffic update.

There will be several restrictions on Route 28 beginning Monday, Dec. 19.

Intermittent, short-term single lane and shoulder closures will occur between the RIDC (Exit 10) and the Freeport/Millerstown (Exit 16) interchanges Monday through Thursday, Dec. 19 to 22, weather permitting. Work and restrictions will occur between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lane closures and restrictions are necessary as contractor crews conduct cable median barrier and guide rail repairs. This work will include short-term moving operations to conduct various minor repairs. All exits and ramps will remain open.
