Road Sealing and Patching to Occur in Plum-Oakmont Area This Week

Here's a look at where PennDOT road crews will be working this week.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation road crews will be crack-and-joint sealing and patching roads in the Plum-Oakmont area this week.

All activities are weather permitting. Lane closures and restrictions should be expected in work areas.

Crack-and-joint sealing is a preservation activity that prolongs the life of road surfaces by preventing moisture from entering cracks and joints, which can cause potholes and premature deterioration, according to PennDOT spokesman Jim Struzzi.
