Route 28 Center Cable Guide Rail Repairs to Occur Wednesday

Here's a traffic update.

PennDOT District 11 is advising motorists that intermittent, short-term single lane and shoulder closures will occur in several locations on Route 28 on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Contractor crews will conduct cable median guide rail and bridge railing repairs in both directions between the RIDC Exit 10 and the Tarentum/Route 366 (Bull Creek Road) Exit 14 interchanges.

This work will include short-term moving operations to conduct various minor repairs. All exits and ramps will remain open. Work and restrictions will occur between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The prime contractor for the repairs is Penn Line Services, Inc. PennDOT advises motorists to use caution and slow down when traveling through the area. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
