Signal Installation to Occur on Route 28

Here's a traffic update.

Work to install new traffic signals at the intersection of Route 28 and the 40th Street Bridge in Millvale will occur on Monday and Tuesday nights, April 9 to 10, weather permitting.

To allow the work to occur, southbound Route 28 will be reduced to a single lane from the Millvale interchange (Exit 3) to the former Millvale Industrial Park south of the 40th Street Bridge. In addition, the ramp from northbound Route 28 to the 40th Street Bridge will be closed. Traffic will continue northbound to the Millvale off-ramp. Signs and flag crews will direct motorists through Millvale to the on-ramp to the 40th Street Bridge. Restrictions will occur as needed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. both nights.

Motorists are advised to use caution and allow extra time when traveling on Route 28. Log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major roadways before traveling.
