Southbound Route 28 Overnight Single Lane Traffic Continues Through Thursday

Here's a traffic update from PennDOT.

Traffic on southbound (inbound) Route 28 in the City of Pittsburgh will continue to be reduced to a single through Thursday night, Dec. 6, weather permitting.

Restrictions will occur as needed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night between the 31th Street Bridge and East Ohio Street exit. Crews will perform utility work.

The work is part of the $36.4 million Route 28 Phase IV improvement project. The prime contractor is the Trumbull Corporation of Pittsburgh. Overall work will conclude in fall 2014.
