“We bring high-tech care directly into the community so patients don’t have to travel to Pittsburgh,” said Matthew McCracken, director of the Cancer Center. “Events like this are important because early diagnosis is key to better outcomes, and information is one of the most powerful tools individuals can have.”

At the expo, attendees will have an opportunity to talk with representatives from the Women’s Health Center at The Washington Hospital and the Washington OB-GYN Group.

The Women’s Health Center combines advanced diagnostic services and an expert clinical staff with numerous wellness and support programs for local women, and has been accredited by The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).

“We offer routine screening mammograms with state-of-the-art digital technology,” said manager Michelle McIlvaine, adding that the center recently introduced a patient navigator program to assist women who are diagnosed with cancer. “The navigator serves as a liaison between the patient and the hospital throughout the various cancer treatment steps.”

In addition, all proceeds from the evening’s sale of special Spa Harmony services—including pink feather extensions, hand/foot massages and pink polish change as well as discount service cards and discount non-member guest passes—will be donated to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
