Thunderstorm in December

According to the National Weather Service, a cluster of showers and thunderstorms could bring some severe weather this afternoon.

While most are dreaming of a white Christmas, the first day of December has been a soggy one.

According to a statement issued by the National Weather Service, a cluster of showers and thunderstorms was spotted around 3:45 p.m. and currently is affecting several parts of Allegheny County—including the Plum, Oakmont and Verona areas.

Wind gusts of 40 to 50 miles-per-hour are possible with these storms. According to the Doppler radar on www.weather.com, they should be out of the area by 5 p.m.
