Annual Gala, Spring Show to Support Riverview Relay for Life

The Annual Riverview Relay for Life Gala will take place on Friday, May 3 at Futules’ Harmar House in Cheswick.

The dinner-dance runs from 7 to 11:30 p.m. and features an abundant menu of appetizers, chicken breast, carved beef and ham, penne with marinara or alfredo sauce, parsley red skinned potatoes, green beans, salad bar, and unlimited soft drinks. 

The event was started several years ago by Mayor Bob Fescemyer and his Keystone Cancer Killers Relay team.The dinner-dance is a time of good food, auction items, great music and dancing that makes for a wonderful night out for all.

Nick Futules will once again create the menu. Dessert is being provided by Oakmont Bakery and there will be a cash bar.

According to event organizes, this gala alone has raised more than $40,000 over the years to help fund critical cancer research as well as patient services and educational programs provided by the American Cancer Society.

Spring Vendor and Craft Fair

Also supporting the Riverview Relay for Life is the upcoming Spring Vendor and Craft Fair.

The event takes place from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 at the Oakmont Presbyterian Church, 415 Pennsylvania Ave. in Oakmont.

Sponsored by the Circle of Friends and Angels of St. Francis, the event will have food and a bake sale, a silent auction, rafflles and Sarris Candy sales.

Participating vendors including Tastefully Simple Traci Lynn Jewelry, Pampered Chef, Grace Adele Purses, Mary Kay, Touchstone Crystals, Embroidery from the Heart, Scentsy Flameless Candles, Chair Massages, 31 Purses and more.
Food/Bake Sale; Chinese Auction; Raffles; Sarris Candy sales. 

The show also supports the American Cancer Society.
