Verona Moose Lodge Finds New Home

Verona Moose Lodge members are calling the old Narodni Dom Club home—for now.

Empty land has taken the place of the former Verona Moose Lodge building on East Railroad Avenue.

In October, the , destroying the entire building and adjacent . Shortly after the fire, the Moose and one of the next door apartments , leaving an empty space where the old community staple stood.

Members didn't hesitate in finding a new place to gather. In November, members of the Verona Moose found a temporary home at the old Nardoni Dom Club on Arch Street in Verona. Members are leasing the property.

The Verona Chamber of Commerce even held its at the new establishment.

According to the Valley News Dispatch, bar manager Clem Daub said members hope to rebuild at the former site, but it will be at least five years before that happens.

At the time of the fire, many in the community were devastated and heartbroken, given that the building was in Verona for at least 100 years.

The Loyal Order of Moose is a fraternal and service organization founded in 1888, with nearly 1,800 Lodges, according to the Moose International website. The Verona chapter is the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 250.
