Get Set Sunday: Place Your Orders

Some of the biggest savings I find are on the internet. Amazon, Vitacost, Drugstore.com, and more are at my disposal to order up anything I could possible need. (NEED is the word you need to emphasis when shopping online, am I right? Not want, NEEEED. Say it with me…NEEEEEED. That’s my word for 2013, by the way.)

Anyway, because I usually buy the same things every single shopping trip (boring, but so, so easy), I started searching out for lower prices online for stuff I usually buy like coconut oil, lara bars, and raw honey. Also, the internet offers me a great spot to find something I need, but can’t find in my local stores, like whole wheat pastry flour. Thank you, internet!

If I wanted to travel all over Western Pennsylvania to physically buy this stuff in a store, I’m sure I could, but why not sit in my jammies once a month and place my orders.

In addition to buying the hard-to-find and less expensive stuff online, I place my order at Sam’s club twice a month. There’s a Sam’s Club four miles away from my house, though (and about two miles from my work). WHY???? Because I can’t control myself in Sam’s Club!

For some reason, I find the need to throw things like a 12 pack of air fresheners or a pair of flip flops in my cart every single time I walk through those aisles. How could I not? Why YES I need 48oz of trail mix that I wouldn’t buy otherwise for under $10!!

What?

It’s sick and very, very weird. I don’t think I’m the only one, though. Fess up, peeps!

So, I place my order online for pickup, and pick it up the next day at the front desk. I never have to walk around that place again. Also, if I choose to delegate, I can send my husband there without a list or much direction. “Just go to the front desk, honey.” Yay!
