The Miles for Smiles 5K will be held on Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Boyce Park Ski Lodge. The event benefits the families of Plum residents Lorri Nixon and Sunny Carney, who both are fighting cancer. It also benefits the family of the late Kristin Croyle of Murrysville. The cost is $30 on race day.
