Paddle Without Pollution Cleanup

Join Paddle Without Pollution (PWP) and help clean up a lesser-known section of the Allegheny River on May 19th. The area, around the Tarentum Bridge near Bull Creek, doesn’t get too much publicity, but provides a unique and special paddling experience. Once pristine, it now needs a paddling cleanup operation. That's where you come in...together, we can make a big difference.

The cleanup will take place from 9:30AM to 12:30PM with lunch afterward. Please register in advance at paddlewithoutpollution.com/events.

Gloves and bags will be provided. Just bring what you normally paddle with, including a kayak or canoe, a PFD, and something to drink. We will pick up trash from our kayaks and canoes then enjoy food and prizes after the cleanup.

PWP is a non-profit organization whose mission is to restore and protect the health of the rivers, streams, lakes, and wetlands of Western Pennsylvania through hands-on stewardship and education, thereby benefiting the region's communities, economy, and quality of life. Visit paddlewithoutpollution.com for our schedule, photos, and a link to a video.
