Top Tip Tuesday: Meal Sharing

Let's do the neighborly thing and share some meals with one another!

by Joline Atkins at SlimSavers.com.

A few friends and I will be embarking on the Ultimate Reset starting April 1. While I realize that’s an entire month away, we are already planning, for the meals will look very different than what we are accustomed to eating, and thus there will be a learning curve for all involved.

So, while we shared our anxiety about the new recipes we will be trying for 21 days, a light bulb turned on. We found a solution.

Meal share.

What?

Share meals.

What?

To help each other be successful for our 21 day program, we are going to assign days and cook double portions. This way one person always has the day off from cooking!

Maybe this sounds a bit like Little House on the Prairie.” The sharing the meals with the neighbors thing.

I, for one, am going to embrace this for three weeks. The preparation will be a huge part of the program, and buddying up with  someone will surely make both of us more successful.

Have you ever shared meals on a consistent basis with someone? I know this is done when someone has a baby or during times of emergency in one’s life, but what about doing so “just because”? Or in order to help another family adopt new nutritional habits?

Interesting thought!

Erin and Joline, both health and wellness junkies, spent many years pinning down the truths about eating healthy and inexpensively. Both feel the it’s-too-expensive-to-eat-healthy excuse is untrue and infuriating.
